Greenland Paper Mills Ltd (GPML) was incorporated in the year 1995 with the objective of manufacturing Kraft Paper in various grades which is used by Corrugated Packaging Industry. The Corporate Office of the Company is situated at Alamcode, Attingal, Thiruvananthapuram District, Kerala and Paper Mill plant is located at Adhichanallor, Kollam District, Kerala. The Company started its commercial production in October 1997 with a production capacity of 7500 MT per annum. The plant is designed to manufacture good quality MG Kraft Paper by recycling of scrap waste paper ( old used card board boxes)

It sources 60 % of raw material from local market and rest by imports from countries like USA, Middle East, Sri Lanka Etc. The paper produced by GPML is marketed throughout Kerala and broader district of Tamil Nadu and Karnadaka and the quality is well accepted.

The Company went for capacity addition later on and the production capacity has been increased to 10000 MT per annum. A further addition of capacity to 15000 MT per annum is under implementation.

The Company was promoted by Mr. A.M Ashraf, Managing Director, and his brother Mr. A.M Desthageer, Executive Director who have vast experience in corrugated packaging field. Mr. A.M Ashraf and A.M Desthageer are sons of late Mr. A.M Abdul Kader, the founder of M/s. Kerala Paper Convertors, Alamcode, Attingal, one of the pioneers in Corrugated Box unit Kerala established in 1969. Being the second generation entrepreneurs the experience of promoters in the field of Corrugated Packaging Industry helped them to establish the Paper Mill project in befitting manner as a backward integration.

The company put up a Wind Mill of 1250 KW power generating capacity in Udumalpet, Tamil Nadu in the year 2011 with an investment of Rs.6.95 crores. The accelerated depreciation benefit has saved Income Tax liability of Paper Mill operation to a considerable extent apart from the tax free revenue from power generation.

Offering quality paper product coupled with prompt and reliable service to the customers is the motto and given the first and foremost priority. The Company strives persistently to improve the quality and service through dedicated team work. The quality control measures are monitored by a team of technical experts having wider knowledge in Pulp and Paper technology.

To protect the environment by recycling the large quantity of ‘Paper packaging materials’ generated as waste all around and produce value added finished paper product. This recycling process helps to save destruction of forestry and leads to Green Environments (Greenland).
